My First Challenge at Soul Scrappers!

My very first DT challenge is up at Soul Scrappers.  I'm going to be hosting a "One Word Challenge" every month.  The word I chose for my first challenge is "Imagine".  Here's the layout I created, based on my 4 year old grandson's "imagination".

You don't have to use the actual word, just go wherever your imagination takes you.  My grandson REALLY thinks he's Batman when he has his costume on.  I just love children's imagination, don't you?

I created this layout on my iPhone, using the Becky Higgins mobile Project Life APP.  I LOVE that thing!!

My challenge runs until February 18th at midnight, EST.  Hope you can join in.

New Design Team Announcement!

Hello!  I've been asked to be a member of the Soul Scrapper's Design Team!

I'll be posting my first challenge on January 17th.  I'm going to be hosting a "One Word Challenge" every month.  The word will just be a springboard for your imagination.  You don't have to use the actual word, just go wherever the word takes your creative process.  So, stay tuned for that.  I'll post my layout here, too on the 17th.

In the meantime, I've created a new Christmas layout for one of the other challenges for January.

We took my grandson, Asher, to see Santa again this year at Bass Pro Shop.  This is the third year we've taken him over there.  The wait is very LONG but definitely worth it.  They've had the same Santa for three years and is he ever cute!!  He's SO photogenic and SO sweet.  I was lucky enough to catch not only this picture of Asher being sweet, but also the picture of him pulling Santa's beard.  I think it might be real.  Haha  I LOVE the way Santa is posing for me!

There are a lot of great challenges at Soul Scrappers and I'd love for you to check them out.

Hello again

I've been busy taking part in some challenges for the last few weeks.

This is the February Project 12 double layout I created using Lisa Moen's wonderful sketch, for Turtle Soup.

I've also been participating in some of the challenges at Soul Scrappers.

This is my next to the youngest grandson and this layout is for an ABC Challenge and I used Basic Grey "Hey Boy" Collection.

This layout was created using a sketch by Shazza Bishop.  These are my only two granddaughters and I used Basic Grey "Highline" Collection.

This layout of my youngest grandson was also created for an ABC Challenge.  The letter was "C" and the embellishment was cork.  I also used Basic Grey "Hey Boy" Collection.

This is Asher again, learning how to play baseball.  This is based on a sketch by Pagemaps and once again I used BG "Hey Boy".

One last thing, we're having a Blog Hop at Turtle Soup from April 3 to 5th.  Put that on your calendars.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll try to be back soon.

Has It Really Been That Long?

I'm shocked that I haven't blogged since December 29th!!  Where does the time go?  It just seems like it was Christmas and here it is ~ nearly March!!

I'm a Guest Designer at Turtle Soup for 6 months, so today, I'm going to play catch-up with my creations for TS.

I hosted a Mini Crop Challenge in January.  I called it the "Hug Challenge".  This is the layout I created for my example.  I used Young & Wild & Free and One For Boys Collections.

Here's a card I created for my February Mini Crop challenge at Turtle Soup.

It was a "Lots of Layers" Challenge and here's a close-up.

This is my layout for Project 12 for January.  It's based on a sketch by Lisa Moen.  I used Vicky Robinson's Journey Collection.

I just have two more I want to post today.  My 14 year old granddaughter, Ava, is such a wonderful photographer!  The next two layouts were created by me, but I used all of her photographs.

I just adore this picture Ava took of Asher the last evening we went to the beach.  I love his little profile in silhouette with the sunset behind him.  I used a combination of Vicky Roberts, Tstroud, Cilenia Curtis and Bella Gypsy Collections.

I found these pictures on my camera after Ava was here a couple of weekends ago.  She was using my camera and when I downloaded the pictures, I found these and HAD to scrap them.  I used S. Clingerman Young, Wild & Free Collection.

The last two layouts were created for challenges at Turtle Soup.  If you haven't been over to TS, you should stop by and see all of the wonderful challenges we have EVERY month!!

Well, I'm exhausted now but thanks for stopping by!!
