New Projects

I've been so busy here ~ I've created some DT projects, but mostly, I've been working on my own "art project".   I'm getting close to being done with it and can't wait to show it off!!

Here's my Turtle Soup February card for the DT reveal.  It's based on a sketch by Bev Code.  This is a hybrid card and I used patterned papers and elements from the Dmogstad Lucky In Love collection.

Here's Bev's sketch:

Here's my double page layout for Project 12 ~ January 2014, based on a sketch by Lisa Moen.

If you'll click on it, it will enlarge and you can see more of the detail.

My grandkids are SO funny!  One of them is ALWAYS making a funny face in almost every picture.  The picture where I have the arrow and "Photo bomb" is Cameron "photo bombing" and making that sober (very un-Cameron) face.  Haha  Of course, he yelled "photo bomb" when he jumped into the shot.

That picture of Alyssa pulling her eyelids down is typical of her.  The bottom left picture is a hoot, because Braden was talking to her and there she is making a face.  Of course, she saw me turn my camera toward them ~ he didn't.  I love that picture of Braden, though.  He's totally unaware.  Haha

Anyway, here's Lisa's January 2014 Project Life sketch:

I just LOVE her sketches ~ they always inspire me.

I hope you're having a Happy Hump Day and thanks for stopping by.

#Digital Fun

Well, everything seems to be working on my new blog.  That's a relief.  Haha

I've been busy creating ~ mostly digital layouts.  I really enjoy working in this new dimension.  I thought I'd share some of my new projects with you.

This may be one of my new favorites.  I made it for a challenge over at Turtle Soup and all of the elements came from Pixel Scrappers.  I call it "Hash Tags".  These are my two granddaughters, Ava and Alyssa #sisters, #screenshot, #selfies.  I should have added #Instagram.  I don't get to see the five oldest grandkids very often, so one of the ways we communicate is via Instagram.  It's so much fun and I feel like I'm involved in their lives a bit more.  We also text each other a lot, too but Instagram is one of our favorites ~ we "like" all of each other's posts and leave comments.

Here's another fun layout that I also created for Turtle Soup.  These are all Instagram prints ~ which I LOVE ~ that I took of the kids last summer.  I used Echo Park A Perfect Summer and the banner and word phrases are also from Pixel Scrapper.

Are you ready for the faces in this one?  My grandkids NEVER give me a picture that somebody isn't making a face.  I've said before that I have to take LOTS and LOTS of the same shot to catch everybody looking "normal".  Three of the older kids decided it was time to start teaching Asher the art of "face making".  I used a lot of different papers and elements from SNU Sweet Life.

One more ~ this is of all the grandkids.  I got the bright idea to take an identical picture of the six of them every few months.  Even if it's in a different location, we'll use the same "arrangement".  There was a "Two of Everything" challenge at Turtle Soup, so using both these photographs was perfect!  This layout will also make my favorites next year!!  I used Pink Paislee Caught on Camera, Ezane Pick A Date and Dmogstad Beach Party.  I call this one www.capture.

That's all I'm going to post this time ~ I'll save some more for another post.  Thanks so much for stopping by.
