#Digital Fun

Well, everything seems to be working on my new blog.  That's a relief.  Haha

I've been busy creating ~ mostly digital layouts.  I really enjoy working in this new dimension.  I thought I'd share some of my new projects with you.

This may be one of my new favorites.  I made it for a challenge over at Turtle Soup and all of the elements came from Pixel Scrappers.  I call it "Hash Tags".  These are my two granddaughters, Ava and Alyssa #sisters, #screenshot, #selfies.  I should have added #Instagram.  I don't get to see the five oldest grandkids very often, so one of the ways we communicate is via Instagram.  It's so much fun and I feel like I'm involved in their lives a bit more.  We also text each other a lot, too but Instagram is one of our favorites ~ we "like" all of each other's posts and leave comments.

Here's another fun layout that I also created for Turtle Soup.  These are all Instagram prints ~ which I LOVE ~ that I took of the kids last summer.  I used Echo Park A Perfect Summer and the banner and word phrases are also from Pixel Scrapper.

Are you ready for the faces in this one?  My grandkids NEVER give me a picture that somebody isn't making a face.  I've said before that I have to take LOTS and LOTS of the same shot to catch everybody looking "normal".  Three of the older kids decided it was time to start teaching Asher the art of "face making".  I used a lot of different papers and elements from SNU Sweet Life.

One more ~ this is of all the grandkids.  I got the bright idea to take an identical picture of the six of them every few months.  Even if it's in a different location, we'll use the same "arrangement".  There was a "Two of Everything" challenge at Turtle Soup, so using both these photographs was perfect!  This layout will also make my favorites next year!!  I used Pink Paislee Caught on Camera, Ezane Pick A Date and Dmogstad Beach Party.  I call this one www.capture.

That's all I'm going to post this time ~ I'll save some more for another post.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Eureka Stamps Challenge #74

It's time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.

This week's challenge {#74} is "Anything Goes".  Here's the card that I created for this week's reveal.

Have you ever created a card and it looked SO pretty IRL, but when you tried to photograph it ~ it just didn't look the same???  Well, this is one of "those".  IRL I loved it ~ I used DCWV textured cardstock and it's white ~ but for the love of me I couldn't get it to LOOK white.  I was running out of time, since this was for a DT project, so I had to quit stressing over it.  I'm not sure, but all the bling on the card might have been reflecting on it and causing the color to be "off".  I even converted the whole thing to black and white, but that didn't please me either.  {Am I perfectionist???  LOL}

Anyway, I love this Eureka digital stamp that I used.  It's called "Let It Snow" and you can find it right here.  I printed it out and distressed all of the edges.  I also put "bling" on some of the snowflakes with Stickles and glitter.  Here's a close-up photograph.

Here's another close-up ~ it's a nice shot of the textured paper and my snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Thank you ALL!!

For those of you who became follwers (again) and left such wonderful comments ~ thank you SO much!!  I was pretty devastated for a couple of days, but as you can see, I decided to start over.

Where to begin?  I'm SO behind now with posting my DT and other projects.

I guess I'll start with my current Eureka Stamps weekly reveal.  Here's the card that I created.

I love this quote and you can find it in the Eureka store right here.  I printed it out on heavy white cardstock then distressed all of the edges.  I'm in love lately with Mod Podging lace, then adding glitter.  I just found these snowflakes last weekend (they're actually sequins) so I added them.

Here's a close-up of my card.

Aren't those snowflakes so pretty?  They're perfect because of what the quote says.  If you'd like to play along, you can link up right over at the Eureka blog.

Here's a Valentine's Day card I made and it's based on a sketch by Bev Code.

I just got these tiny pink clothespins and had no idea what I was going to do with them.  Just saw a package of them at Joan's and had to have them.  Here's another view of my card.

One more because I LOVE to take close-ups.  Haha

I'd better stop for now, but I'll be back soon because I have LOTS of new projects to share.

Thanks for stopping by and for coming back to my blog!!

I'm Back

Well, was I ever surprised a few days ago when I tried to log onto my blog and it was gone.  That's right ~ it was gone.

I've had my same blog, "Capturing A Moment In Time" for 6 years and owned that name by virtue of paying Blogger for that domain (as a .com).  Well, when Google took over Blogger they apparently decided that they weren't going to be providing these services any longer.

I had two choices, #1 ~ go with a different domain server {which was a LOT more expensive and I probably couldn't have kept the same name} and #2 ~ just let my blog revert back to .blogspot.com which is what I elected to do.

Well, long story short, it didn't work.  Google just wiped my blog off the face of the earth ~ if you go to my old blog address now, it's this ugly kind of "pop up ad".  Yuck ~ I HATE pop up ads and now I am one.  LOL

SO, if you're looking for "Capturing A Moment In Time" ~ you've come to the right place.  I decided to make a fresh start and call my blog {CREATE} which is what I started out with on Typepad in early 2006.  I don't remember exactly why I changed my blog name, but anyway, I'm back to {CREATE}.  Of course, that name wasn't available as a "blogger address" so you can find me at http://cherylndesignscreate.blogspot.com ~ I know that's a mouthfull, but my professional name is CherylNDesigns and my old/new blog is {CREATE} so just put it all together and add .blogspot.com and you have it.  See, easy-peasy.  Haha

This is kind of a test post just to get me going so I'll end here and hit "publish" and be back in a day or so to catch up on some DT projects.
