Madge's Scrappin Lounge July Kit Reveal

We had a lot of fun embellishments in our kit this month.  Here's a picture of the July Embellishment Kit from Madge's Scrappin Lounge.

Here's a card I made, using the "scrunch ribbon" from 3 Girl Jam.

I also created this card for the weekly Eureka Stamps challenge.  You can read all of the details on my post here.

Here's a close-up photograph of the ribbon.

Here's another close-up.

I also made four tags, using the adorable little chipboard "library tags".

On this tag, I used two of the little orange letters (from Crate Paper) and one of the tags from Elle's Studio and some of the twine (from Jillibean Soup).

I just love the little wooden "for you" flags (by Jillibean Soup).  I glued this one onto the chipboard tag so that the holes were lined up and threaded some of the twine through both of them and added a small bow.  I used two more of the orange letters and the number 9 from the sheet of sticker numbers (from CTMH).  This will make a cute birthday tag for Alyssa, who's turning 9.

I wound some twine around this tag several times and put "luv u" on the top.  I used two of the little hearts from the Studio Calico sticker sheet and added them with pop dots.  I used some more twine to make a hanger.

I used an arrow and a heart sticker (from Studio Calico) and added "luv u" and twine.

The best part is that I have LOTS of these goodies left to create with!  The kit is very generous and I know I'll use all of it eventually ~ these are some of my favorite embellishment manufacturers.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Eureka Challenge #100

It's a new week and time for a brand new challenge at Eureka Stamps.

This week's challenge, #100, is "Swimming".  Here's the card I created for today's reveal.

I used this cute stamp as a birthday card sentiment.  It's from the Eureka store and you can find it right here.

I used a piece of patterned paper from the BG Highline collection on the front of my card.  The bows are made with crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl Jam.  They are part of Madge's Scrappin Lounge July Embellishment Kit.

Here's a close-up.

Here's one more.

Cute ribbon, huh?   I have a LITTLE trouble tying it, but love the "crinkled look".

If you'd like to play along and you have something that would fit in the swimming theme, link up over at the blog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Eureka Challenge #99

It's time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.

Our challenge this week, #99, is "Monochromatic".  I chose shades of gray (which includes white at one end and black at the extreme other.)

Here's the card I created for this week's reveal.

I love this antique roadster stamp and chose it because it was perfect for "shades of gray".  It's a QKR Stampede image and you can find it in the store right here.

The patterned paper is one of the pieces of Echo Park that I've been hoarding.  When I started my "shades of gray" card, I knew exactly what patterned paper I was going to use.

If you'd like to play in our "monochromatic challenge" you can link up your project over at the Eureka blog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

4th of July Projects

I know I'm a little late posting this, but better late then never.

I wanted to share some of the 4th of July projects I made this year.  Here's my "before" picture.

I found this jar ~ WITH the top ~ at a garage sale for 75 cents!  I found these cool pinwheels at Hobby Lobby and bought a package of red shredded paper.

Here's my finished project.

I ended up using red, white, and blue ribbon instead of the ribbon in the picture above.  I just love the way this turned out and it's still sitting on my kitchen table.

Here's the wreath I put together for my front door.

It was super easy to make and I'm just thrilled with how patriotic it looks!!

This is a 4th of July layout I created for Fia's July Sketch Challenge at Sketches4All.

This is Ava, my 13 year old granddaughter.  She's SO unique and truly does "march to the beat of her own drummer".

The layout is based on a sketch by Brenda Ragsdale and I used Echo Park's 4th of July Collection.

Last, but not least, here's one more picture that I absolutely LOVE.

This is a picture that Cam, my 17 year old grandson, took.  He asked me if I'd buy him this big flag and flag attachment for the back of his car.  Of course, I did, but look how awesome it looks!!

I LOVE it that my grandkids are so patriotic!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Eureka Challenge #98

Welcome to a new week at the Eureka Stamps Challenge blog.

Our challenge this week is "Sports Theme".

Here's the simple card I created.

I used a QKR Stampede digi stamp this week.  You can find it right here.

I thought that this cool burlap paper by DCWV would look very masculine (although I suppose there ARE feminine fisherpeople.)  I also added the jute bows to my card.

Here's a close-up photograph.

I just LOVE this burlap paper.  Here's an extreme close-up of the burlap.

If you'd like to join our challenge this week, you can link up right over on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week.

Eureka Challenge #97

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.   The Eureka Blog challenge this week is "Vacation Theme".

Here's the card I created for this week's reveal.

What better way to spend a vacation than kicking back in the sun with a glass of lemonade?

I used some yellow corrugated paper from DCWV as my base.  The two digital stamps I used are Lemonade Cat and Fun in the sun.

I fussy cut the sun and clouds out of some paper that was in my "scrap box" and added them with pop dots.

Here's a close-up of my card.

Here's another close-up.

If you'd like to join our "Vacation Themed" challenge, you can link your creation up over on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Happy 4th of July

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July celebration!!  As we Americans honor our country's birthday, may we be ever mindful of the millions who have made sacrifices so that we can live in The Land of the Free!!

We must never take our freedoms and our way of life for granted.  May God continue to bless America!!  Land of the free and home of the brave.

Happy 4th of July to you and yours.

More from Madge's Scrappin Lounge

I've used some more of the goodies from the June Embellishment Kit from Madge's Scrappin Lounge.  Here's a picture of the goodies ~ although I got some little wooden figures, a bicycle and a car instead of the cameras.

I decided to create an ATC to really showcase the little wooden figures I received.

The first thing I did was to lay the mask on top of the corrugated piece of 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of paper.  I used some spray mist (several coats) to achieve this effect.

Here's a side view ~ I hope you can see the "lattice effect".

I cut two pieces of green paper and cut "grass" on the top and made little hills.  I put the wooden pieces on tiny pop dots.  The sun and cloud are fussy cut from some patterned paper.  I used one of the sequins and one of the rhinestone pieces in the middle of the sun.

Aren't these little wooden figures cute?

I also made this tag with the kit.

I tied a big bow with some of the lace and added two more rows of it.  I added this tiny wooden bicycle and the bird as my "simple things".  The buttons are from my stash.

How cute are the little bike and bird?

Here's one more picture of the big bow.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.
